9 Questions about Life Every Teenage Girl Has ...

Adolescence is a wild stage in all of our lives, filled with confusion, tough decisions, and questions every teenage girl has. Even though we all lead very different lives, inside teenage girls share several fundamental similarities. That’s why there are certain questions every teenage girl has, and seeks answers for all throughout her youth! There’s no shortage of these hard-to-answer questions that plague all of us at one point or another, but here are just a few of the most hard-hitting questions many teens have to deal with!

1 Where Will I Go after High School?

Answer: Where you belong.

One of the main questions every teenage girl has is where she will end up after graduation. Well, I’m a firm believer in the philosophy that everything happens for a reason. I know what I want for my future, but that doesn’t mean I’ll necessarily get it. I know that no matter where I end up attending college, or what I ultimately get my degree in, my life will be right on track! And you can be just as sure as I am that you will end up exactly where you belong after high school! Whether or not you get accepted into your dream college shouldn’t be a cause of major stress in your life, because as long as you stay true to yourself your life will lead you down the path that’s perfect for you!

The idea of fate versus free will is as old as time, but I’d like to think it's a blend of both. Sometimes the universe has a way of nudging us in unexpected directions, and oftentimes, these diversions bring us to places where we grow the most. Always remember, the journey is just as important as the destination. So, if the college acceptance letter doesn't arrive, or if life takes you on a detour through a gap year or a different career path, embrace it. This isn't a setback; it's an adventure, a chance to learn more about yourself and your passions.

Frequently asked questions

2 How Far is Too Far?

Answer: You’ve gone too far when you feel unhappy with your decisions.

The question of “how far is too far?” torments the minds of many teenage girls every day! This question applies to romantic relationships, distance from your family after graduation, and school studies. Several factors go into deciding how far is too far, but at the end of the day the most important thing to consider is whether or not you feel happy with your decisions. If you don’t feel uncomfortable or unhappy, odds are you haven’t gone too far yet, but shouldn’t push yourself any further. Adolescence is the time to discover your limits, and sometimes you should push them, but never to the point where you end up regretting your actions.

3 Does My Crush like Me Back?

Answer: There’s only one way to find out!

Ah, the classic “He loves me, he loves me not.” Only, you’re not five any more, so tearing the petals off of flowers can’t determine your love life! The only definitive way to find out whether or not your crush likes you is to ask him or her. I know it sounds scary, but it’s the only way to answer this question! Just remember that the worst they can say is “no.”

4 How Am I Going to Survive on My Own?

Answer: With lots of hard work!

The future is such a terrifying concept to many teens that it’s difficult to grasp the fact that you can actually survive on your own! But you can, as long as you work hard and make wise decisions. The day will come when your parents cut you off and you’re forced to spread your wings and fly. Hopefully, by then you’ll be mature enough to handle the world independently, but the transition will still require tons of effort on your own part! Regardless, you will survive on your own, because young adults have been doing it for centuries and you’re no exception to the overwhelming majority of capable young women!

5 Am I Pretty?

Answer: Yes!

It’s absolutely tragic how many teenage girls are insecure. I know I’ve battled insecurity in the past, and if you have too, you’ve definitely asked yourself this question before. Standing in front of the mirror, picking out every flaw you can identify is natural, but it isn’t healthy. You’ll only end up feeling ugly, which makes no sense because you are undeniably gorgeous! All women are inherently stunning, and the mere fact that you’re alive is beautiful all on its own! So stop self-doubting, self-criticizing, and self-loathing because yes, you are pretty!

6 What Are People Saying behind My Back?

Answer: It doesn’t matter.

Gossip seems to be teenage girls’ favorite pastime, so it’s inevitable that rumors will surface about you. And naturally, you’ll want to know what people are saying about you behind your back. But when it comes down to it, senseless gossip about you isn’t something to dwell on. Idle minds make up lies to mess with innocent people, but anyone cruel enough to do that doesn’t deserve your time of day!

7 Am I Good Enough?

Answer: Absolutely!

Do you ever find yourself lying in bed, unable to sleep with dozens of questions running through your mind? If you do, odds are one of those questions is “Am I good enough?” It’s easy to feel inadequate, especially when you’re young. Everyone around you seems smarter, prettier, and more popular than you. But as long as you’re being you, then you are good enough! I know that sounds a bit cheesy, but it’s true. You can only be as good as you were born to be, and you were born to be fabulous! So have faith in yourself, and shed your insecurities because you are good enough. Good enough for your parents’ expectations, good enough for your crush, and good enough for your bright future!

8 Will I Ever Be Happy Again?

Answer: Yes, sooner than you think.

It’s only natural to feel depressed after a tragic event in your life, especially for teens. Whether a family member passes away, or you go through your first major break up, emotional pain is difficult to deal with as a teen. I know from personal experience that when teens start feeling down, they get into a mindset that they’ll never be happy again! But if you’re at a point in your life where you feel that way, take heart because you will definitely be happy again, and that day is sooner than you think. Teenage years are full of new highs and new lows, and since they’re so unfamiliar, dealing with them is difficult. All you can do when you’re unbearably sad is remember that nothing bad can last forever because time heals all wounds.

9 Who Am I?

Answer: You’ll figure it out.

Perhaps the most important question you’ll ever ask yourself as a teenager is “Who am I?” You’ll have to discover this throughout high school, and the answer will manifest itself in the way you dress, your taste in music, and the people you choose to spend time with. Finding out exactly who you are is definitely a struggle, but I promise that you’ll figure it out eventually. You just have to be patient with yourself, and wait until the day your true self reveals herself.

Questions abound when you’re a teenager, but it helps to know that you’re not alone in your curiosity. Everyone is different, but some questions we all must face sooner or later. What other pressing questions do you need answered?
