There are so many things to do when you’re in college. Get your core requirements, get your degree, graduate, and get a job. Right? well, sort of. While you should get good grades and your degree, you should also have a blast along the way. Just think of college as a place where you can make a lot of awesome memories and great stories to tell. So here are the necessary things to do when you’re in college.

Crash a Party

One of the best things to do when you’re in college is crash a party. Crash a frat party, a wedding, or a birthday party. It doesn’t even really have to be on your campus, but it’s usually more fun if it's with or for people from your school. My friend and I crashed a college graduation party for someone at my college that I didn’t even know and we ended up being the life of the party.

2

Abuse Your Discounts

A lot of stores around your campus probably give student discounts that you don’t even know about. Every time you go somewhere around campus, ask if they have a student discount. This is also good for transportation. A lot of buses and trains give student discounts, too.

3

Make Weird Friends and Be Eccentric with Them

Make friends with people that you never would have before college. You don’t have to be friends with them for the whole four years that you are there, but maybe they will be able to show you things you’ve never seen or done before. Sometimes, the people you least expect can teach you a lot about yourself.

4

Get over Your Fears

College is a great time to try new things and experiment. It is also the perfect time to get over your biggest fears, so you don’t have to worry about anything when you get out into the real world. If you’re afraid to sing, try out for a talent show. If you’re afraid of heights, go to a rock climbing event. There are so many events to do in college, many of which you are probably intimidated by. So try them!

5

Study Abroad

I probably won’t be able to tackle this one while I’m still in college, but it is something completely worth doing. Studying abroad looks fantastic on your resume and you can even learn a new language while you’re there. Go to a new place, make new friends, and have many adventures.

Go Where You’re Not Allowed

I did this a lot during my freshman year of college. My university is divided up into four different schools, and the schools are not really allowed to cross. Since I’m a business major, I’m not allowed to go anywhere near the acting wing or the theater. So the first thing I did was break into the costume room. I also managed to get onto the roof of the school, and into the boiler room. Once you go where you’re not allowed, you can brag to your friends and make them all jealous because you’re more adventurous than they are.

7

Learn Your Alcohol Limits

If you'll turn 21 while you're in college, it's an excellent idea to learn your limit when it comes to alcohol. No one wants to spend time being hungover or heaving their guts out at a party, so be careful, be responsible, and learn your limits.

Many people say that college is the best four years of their life. Being in college now, I completely agree with that statement. They are years that you learn who you really are, where you meet people you never dreamed of meeting, and you plan for the rest of your life. What are some things you think you should do in college?
