Do you want to be able to tell who your true friends are? I think that is something that we all want to know. You can have a lot of buddies but it is the true friends that really matter. With some life experience, I have learned that the following situations I talk about are ones that reveal who your true friends are.
You can tell who your true friends are when there is a nasty rumor going around and everyone else turns against you. A true friend will believe the best of you and not give a rumor one minute’s thought. They will stand by you when others won’t. You never have to doubt their friendship. You can count on them to always be in your corner.
Facing a family crisis is a terrible thing to go through. Maybe you have lost a loved one, your teen is out of control or you are watching a family member go through a terrible illness. One good thing that can come of terrible times like this is that it reveals who your true friends are. True friends will call and check on you when you are going through something like this. They will ask what they can do to help. Sometimes they will even make an effort to help without you asking for anything.
A true friend will be there when you need to talk about something going on in your life. A lot of people say that they will be there for you or to call anytime but few really mean it. When you find someone who not only says it but means it, you have found a treasure of a friend. True friends care about your feelings and are glad to help you sort through them if you need to. This is such a blessing.

There is no need to worry about who will step up and help you out in a situation like that because you already know. You can count on them, always.

You know they are there for you if you need to talk or you need a last minute girls' night out to relieve the stress you are going through. They are the kind of friend to drop a card in the mail to cheer you or send balloons when you are down. They are usually very thoughtful people.
